Hotel Review: JA The Resort, Dubai

This ultimate 5-star beachfront destination is located along the shorelines of Dubai with 3 unique hotels and endless amount of experiences!

The Swimming Pool, JA The Resort

If you’re searching for a Staycation and want to feel like you’ve ‘left Dubai’, without driving a few hours, then JA Resort is the one for you!

It really does tick all the boxes and offers something for everyone no matter what type of Staycation you are looking for. Do you feel active? Do you want to just chill? Do you want to getaway with your friends? Do you want a family friendly resort? Tick, tick, tick and tick!

Why did I love it? It’s only 30mins from Dubai Marina, but has that real holiday feel, where you’ve left the city behind and it’s more than just a staycation, it’s a proper holiday! I’ve been fortunate enough to stay at the JA Resort a few times and it never disappoints. The resort is split into two sections, Palm Tree Court and The Beach Hotel. We stayed in the Beach Hotel, I did a friends staycay and there was 10 of us for a two-night stay.

Even though we were child free, you can certainly see that the hotel caters for families with family-friendly pools, a kids club and plenty of kids activities. The resort is huge, it’s such a vast complex so plenty of space for families with kids and couples looking for a more relaxed vibe.

The interior of the hotel and accommodation is stunning. Although the exterior of the hotel looks like it could do with a lick of paint, don’t let that put you off. Inside is beautiful! The rooms are spacious with views over the beachfront or across the golf course.

A huge plus point for the hotel, in my opinion, is it’s one of the few that offers an all-inclusive package. If you’ve ever gone away with your friends then you’ll know that it can be a pain trying organise people to pay bills, apportion bills, work out what everyone is doing, especially after a few beverages!

The all-inclusive option is fantastic value for money, probably the best I’ve seen in the UAE. Due to the size of the resort, you have a staggering array of options including 7 swimming pools to choose from and a number of restaurants that is so many, they’ve had to prepare a factsheet to list them all (I popped the links at the bottom).

Activities

Embarrassingly, the only activity I’ve ever actually managed to complete at The Resort is trying out the fabulous restaurants! If however, you do want to try something, the options include water sports (they have a water sport centre on site), horse riding, golf, mini golf, tennis, shooting and of course, they have a large Spa & Gym accessible to all.

But, the joy of the resort is that you don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to! The resort is really big! I spent some time before breakfast going for a walk around the resort, finding little areas with waterfalls, secluded seating and said hello to the resident peacocks! It’s such a beautiful setting that it’s worth taking some time out to see it all.

 Restaurants

So many to choose from! Breakfast is a buffet which offers everything you could ever want. There are multiple restaurants, cafes and bars across the resort.  They have a large Sports Bar by the Marina which will show all the major sporting events including all weekend Premier League Football that is televised and the food offering is of a higher quality than you would normally expect to see in a sports bar and the options you have under the all-inclusive is awesome! The restrictions are minimal so you can enjoy cocktails, beers, wines and pretty much anything off the Al a Carte menu. Again, best all-inclusive package I’ve seen in a long time.

One restaurant I would like to recommend, is the White Orchid in the Palm Court area of the resort. Again, all-inclusive restrictions were limited to being able to just order a starter, main and desert per person which was more than enough and anything on top you can pay a little extra. Food was sensational! To the point I would drive there for dinner! Maybe I’ve been tainted by all-inclusive in the past but the options, the quality, the everything was absolutely perfect.

Overall

Amazing value for money! The All-inclusive package was such good value for money and there wasn’t really much at all that was restricted from this, bar the lobster, as you would assume. The resort really does offer something for everyone, whether you go with a group of friends like me, or you go with your little ones, partner or even a little solo getaway - I would recommend the resort for all these options.
